DIPPITY-DIP-DIP THIS SUMMER!

Drop me a line!

My discovery about 10 years ago was this: if you bring together a pile of unrelated and relatively boring ingredients under the right conditions, something brilliant will evolve. I've been relentlessly experimenting on friends and family since that realization, before taking cooking and culinary arts up professionally — and it’s become a bit of an obsession. I’ve never been one to follow recipes to a tee, but I’m always one to tinker with the rules.

That immense curiosity led me down some incredible paths — I’m the co-founder of HUMM, an Arabic food network that’s resonated across the Arab world with over 2 million followers and more than 450 million views, celebrating the flavors and stories that bring our kitchens to life. I also co-founded HUMM Academy, the first Arabic online streaming platform offering courses by chefs and professionals from around the globe, bringing world-class food education to screens everywhere, one delicious lesson at a time.

But my concern and love (and blog!) is for the average person -- people living lives at home with families, busy at work, on their own with little to no time to eat well -- I am in your place, and often struggle to find time or inspiration in the kitchen, despite my profession. I don't want to spend hours cooking, and still want to create something comforting at the speed of today's digital pace. And that's why this blog is here -- everything you’ll find on this site is easy, relatively fast, practical, and accessible—even for the most inexperienced beginner. I truly believe anyone can learn to cook. Food is fun, it’s artful, and more than anything, it brings people together.

Welcome to my blog. The recipes here are all created and photographed in my sunny little kitchen. It may be small, but it’s where all the big action happens. Enjoy the food, and drop me a line if you have questions or want to see something in particular—I’d love to hear from you.

With love, Maggie
